Beckenham Bookshop
Beckenham Bookshop is run by a team of long serving and experienced booksellers from different backgrounds with a wide range of tastes in genres and styles. We like to think we know a little bit of everything when it comes to books, and what we don't know, we endeavour to find out! Although small, we have lots of new releases, popular backlist titles and a great range of kids books to suit all ages and abilities.
Beckenham Place Park Community Gardeners
Beckenham Place Park Community Gardeners is a group of volunteers who undertake a wide variety of activities ranging from gardening to woodland management and from upcycling old pallets to helping out at events in the park. Sessions run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays each week for 2-3 hours under the supervision of one of the park staff. To express your interest in getting involved, first email beckenhamplacepark@ lewisham.gov.uk. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the park, meet new friends, do some exercise in the fresh air, and generally go home glowing!
The Homestead Cafe
At the Homestead Café we're coffee geeks who love proper beer and pizza. From the beautifully restored Georgian stable block in Beckenham Place Park, we use Square Mile coffee, always have a large selection of locally brewed craft beer and make awesome stone baked pizzas to take into the park. The counter is always filled with freshly baked delights for everyone.
