Join author and illustrator Allison Parkinson for a fun and interactive storycrafting workshop. Allison will introduce her historical fantasy series, Laurella Swift, and discuss how she used items found in local charity shops to help develop the plots. She will then share writing hints and tips and distribute a range of items – many of which can be found on nature walks – to help fire imaginations and encourage children to create their own adventure stories. The workshop is aimed at children aged 6-9 and includes an 'ideas book' craft activity.

Join author Joséphine Seblon and illustrator Robert Sae-Heng for a creative event inspired by iconic architecture from around the world. Joséphine and Robert will present some of the 20 amazing projects in their book, Mini Architects, which take inspiration from buildings such as the pyramids of ancient Egypt, to New York City's Skyline, to Zaha Hadid's curvy creations, to the mythical Labyrinth of Theseus. These projects are the perfect starting point for mini architects to pick up concepts and explore different styles, techniques and materials. Or, in other words, to borrow ideas from great architects and play with them!

Join Jack Meggitt-Phillips for The Villain’s Showdown! an interactive hour-long event, including puppetry, a Q&A, and readings from the internationally bestselling The Beast and the Bethany series. As part of this session, children will be given the prompts and inspiration to create their own dastardly villains.
